Everyone who terrifies you is sixty-five percent water.
And everyone you love is made of stardust, and I know sometimes
you cannot even breathe deeply, and
the night sky is no home, and
you have cried yourself to sleep enough times
that you are down to your last two percent, but
nothing is infinite,
not even loss.
You are made of the sea and the stars, and one day
you are going to find yourself again.
GUYS LOOK AT THIS.
I know it’s sad that this is considered “revolutionary” but seriously this is so so so important. Look at what Aerie style and fit expert Jenny Altman said in an interview with ABC News: “We left everything: beauty marks, tattoos. It’s a selling point because our customers represent this great demographic and they don’t get to see what girls their age really look like.” The brand also plans to enhance its website. Soon, when you search for a DD bra, you’ll see an actual, real-live DD-sized woman wearing it. Sort of sad that this feels so revolutionary, but anything that diversifies that headless, B-cup avatar common to most lingerie sites is okay in our book.
#people who say that zooey isn’t a feminist because she’s girly and shit #fuck you and fuck your bullshit hypocritical sexism #the strength of a woman is not defined by aesthetic things #the strength of a woman is defined by how strong that woman is #and if she’s a strong independent woman wearing cargo pants and amry boots and kicking ass #or if she’s a strong independent woman wearing a pink polka dot vintage dress #and sparkly fucking heels #she’s still a strong fucking woman #and she’ll kick your fucking sexist ass in her sparkly heels #and laugh at your tears
Treat yourself the way you treat your favorite characters. Look into your back-story to understand your current plot. Sympathize with yourself. Recognize your flaws, and appreciate your strengths. Defend yourself. Cheer yourself on when you go into battle. Appreciate every relationship you make and always look for hidden potential. You’re the protagonist in your story. You’re the main character. You’re the hero.
Treat yourself like one.
I want to kiss you all over your face for respecting me that much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kind and nonjudgmental heart.
Warms my heart…love it, love it, love it
